A search committee has completed interviews for UC Irvine’s new director of soccer/head women’s coach and Athletic Director Dan Guerrero said an announcement will be made “later this week or early next week.”

The committee, which interviewed six candidates, forwarded a list of three finalists to Guerrero, who will make the final decision.

Marine Cano, a close friend of Guerrero’s who holds a similar position at Cal State Dominguez Hills where Guerrero was athletic director before coming to Irvine, is the front-runner for the job.
