Getting a Good Rap: The Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women has given its first annual media award to KACE-FM (103.9) for refusing to play rap music with violent and misogynistic lyrics. The Toni Carabillo Leadership Award for Media, named for the founder of Los Angeles NOW, will be presented to the station’s program director Rich Guzman and music director Mark Gunn today at 2 p.m. in the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. Tammy Bruce, president of Los Angeles NOW, said the honor is in recognition of the station’s courage. She said the L.A. feminist community thanks KACE for “helping improve the quality of women’s lives.”

TELEVISION

A First Lady Morning: Hillary Rodham Clinton will be competing with her videotaped self on all three morning network shows between 7 and 7:30 a.m. Thursday. The First Lady will tape interviews today at the White House with Harry Smith of “CBS This Morning,” Charlie Gibson of ABC’s “Good Morning America” and Katie Couric of NBC’s “Today” show. Staffers at the shows said the White House had agreed to the interviews, with the topics to be the Clintons’ first year in Washington and their first White House Christmas. But spokesmen for both NBC and ABC did not rule out the possibility that Clinton could be asked about recent stories alleging sexual encounters by then-Gov. Bill Clinton.

Grand Reopening: A restored Fine Arts Theatre at 8556 Wilshire Blvd. will open its doors on Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. with the movie “Shadowlands,” starring Anthony Hopkins. AMC Theatres will manage the theater, which is owned by the Cecchi Gori Group, the Italian media giant. The historic theater was designed in 1936 by architect B. Marcus Priteca, who also designed the Hollywood Pantages. The redesign, which began earlier this year, was done by Joe Musil, who worked on the restoration of the Crest Theater in Westwood and the El Capitan theater in Hollywood. The new Fine Arts is reminiscent of the way the theater looked in the 1940s--ablaze in reds and golds, with elaborate fixtures and swags. A private party to celebrate the opening will be held tonight.

* Van Damme Sued: Kick-boxing actor Jean-Claude Van Damme was sued in New Orleans for allegedly molesting a woman in a hotel last year. The woman who filed the lawsuit Monday said the actor climbed into bed with her, fondled her and forced her to perform oral sex. Van Damme’s public relations company, PMK, in Los Angeles, had no comment. Van Damme has appeared in “Hard Target” and “Universal Soldier.”

Manson Victim’s Son Speaks: Bartek Frykowski, the son of Wojiciech (Voytek) Frykowski who was brutally murdered in 1969 by followers of cult leader Charles Manson, will hold a press conference at the Century Plaza today to reveal his reaction to the news that he’ll receive royalties from a Manson song on a recently released Guns N’ Roses album. Despite much criticism, Manson’s “Look at Your Game, Girl” was not removed from the band’s “The Spaghetti Incident?” A spokeswoman for the 35-year-old Frykowski, an aspiring filmmaker and father of two who lives near Munich, said he was grateful and shocked to learn that he will get royalties from the song. Frykowski, in Los Angeles to celebrate the holidays, will receive $62,000 for every million copies of the album sold as a result of a 1971 court order against Manson. That federal court judgment was won by attorney Nathaniel Friedman, who will also appear at the press conference. Frykowski will begin receiving the royalties in about six months.

* Beastie Boy Charged: Charges were filed Tuesday against a member of the rap group Beastie Boys, who allegedly attacked a cameraman from the TV show “Hard Copy” outside a memorial service for actor River Phoenix on Nov. 4. Los Angeles Deputy City Attorney Robert Pingel said Adam Horovitz, 27, is charged with one count each of grand theft from a person and battery for allegedly assaulting the cameraman and taking a videotape from his camera. Horovitz is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 6 in Hollywood Municipal Court.
