San Juan Capistrano : Adult School to Offer Test for Citizenship

Share

A test for residents eligible to apply for citizenship will soon be offered by the Capistrano Adult School.

The school will offer the CASAS Basic Citizenship Skills Examination on Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. Individuals eligible to apply for citizenship may take this test instead of being tested in person on U.S. history and government by an Immigration and Naturalization Service officer.

A person who passes the CASAS test will still have an interview with an INS officer, who will review the application and check for the prospective citizen’s ability to speak and understand English.
