Walnut : 5-Day Schedule for Library
The City Council has approved additional funds to allow the county-run Walnut Public Library to open five days a week at the start of the new year.
Council members voted unanimously to fund three extra days a week of service from January to June, 1994, because the county had reduced service at Walnut and several other county libraries to two days a week.
Walnut Librarian Renee Yasoe Tobin said the library will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
