Help Asked Finding Kin of Dead Man
The Orange County Coroner’s Office is asking for help in locating relatives of Angel Santos Rodriguez, 24, who died Dec. 14 after being burned in an electrical fire in Laguna Beach on Thanksgiving.
He was unidentified for weeks, considered a transient and Mexican national. His last known address was an apartment on Maple Avenue in Orange.
“We’ve run into a dead end on all our attempts to locate his family,” said a coroner’s spokesman. Rodriguez was identified through an old arrest record, which listed no next of kin. “We’re not even sure there are relatives in the U.S.”
Anyone with information about the man is asked to call the coroner’s office at (714) 647-7400.
