CHP Arrests 14 on Suspicion of DUI
Fourteen people were arrested in Ventura County on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol during the 36-hour holiday period ending at 6 a.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP conducted its “maximum enforcement period,” a stepped-up patrol for the peak Christmas period between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Sunday. CHP authorities Sunday said there were 12 arrests in the same period a year ago.
The CHP will also conduct increased patrols over the New Year’s weekend.
