Industry : Latino Float Makes History
What is believed to be the first float representing a Latino product to ever participate in the Tournament of Roses is nearing completion.
It is sponsored by Cuban-born Pasadena residents Gilbert L. and Jennie de Cardenas, who own Industry-based Cacique Inc. The company grew from a tiny family business into a world leader in the manufacturing of Latino cheese.
The float depicts a boy and girl tending geese.
