South Pasadena : 2 Commissioner Vacancies
The City Council seeks registered voters interested in filling two vacant seats on city advisory bodies.
The posts are on the Natural Resources Commission and Public Safety Commission, which advise the council on policy. Commissioners are expected to serve at least one three-year term.
Natural Resources Commissioner Cheng Yue is vacating his seat after serving one term. Public Safety Commissioner Irving Rector is leaving his seat after serving the maximum two terms.
The Public Safety Commission meets the third Tuesday evening of each month and advises the council on matters such as policing, crime prevention programs and pedestrian safety.
The Natural Resources Commission meets the fourth afternoon of each month and advises the council on environmental matters. Applications are available in the city clerk’s office at City Hall, 1414 Mission St., South Pasadena 91030.
