The conference is part of Comic Relief Week, a series of events before Comic Relief VI on Saturday at the Shrine Auditorium, a comedy show hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal and Robin Williams that has raised awareness and funds for anti-poverty causes.

Co-sponsors are the Los Angeles Coalition to End Homelessness, the Southern California Interfaith Hunger Coalition, Homeless Health Care Los Angeles and the Westside Shelter and Hunger Coalition.
