Cheesecake Factory Inc. Files for Stock Offering

The Cheesecake Factory Inc., a Calabasas-based restaurant chain, has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an offering of 1 million common shares of stock.

The company said it expects to raise about $25 million from the offering. The money will be used to finance two new restaurants, in Coconut Grove, Fla., and Bethesda, Md., later this summer. It will also be used to build a new corporate headquarters and bakery. Cheesecake owns eight restaurants. They are in Southern California, Atlanta and Washington, D. C.
