Anton Mesa Acquires Stake in Prism Group

A group led by Anton Mesa Partners L.P., an Orange County securities firm, has acquired a 15.1% stake in Prism Group Inc., a holding company for a software publishing-related firm, according to a Securities and Exchanging Commission filing.

Anton Mesa, based in Costa Mesa, said it may seek representation on Prism Group’s board.

Anton Mesa said in its filing that it holds 584,255 common shares of Prism, an investment worth $1.1 million at Monday’s closing price. In Nasdaq trading, Prism’s stock closed at $1.87 a share, up 6 cents. Anton Mesa also said it may buy more shares.

Prism, based in Woodinville, Wash., is the holding company of Microdisk Services Inc., which provides manufacturing services to software publishers.
