Long Beach Loses, 92-69; Greenberg Ejected
It is tough to beat Pacific at home, and Long Beach State tried to do it Monday night without Coach Seth Greenberg on the bench in the second half.
The 49ers lost, 92-69.
Greenberg picked up his second technical foul and was ejected with 21 seconds left to intermission for yelling at the officials.
Greenberg’s absence may not have mattered anyway, since Pacific led 54-32 at halftime following a 21-8 run.
The victory for Pacific, 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the Big West Conference, was its 10th in a row at home.
Long Beach (8-4, 3-2) cut the margin to 56-39 with 17:22 to play but could get no closer.
Terrance O’Kelley scored a career-high 25 points for Long Beach and Eric Brown had 13.
Michael Jackson scored 24 points to lead Pacific.
