Quake Hits Indonesia; No Reports of Injuries

GOLDEN, Colo. —
An earthquake registering a magnitude 6.9 struck the Irian Jaya region of eastern Indonesia on Wednesday.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake was centered almost 2,000 miles east of the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
