Castle Rock Elevates Liz Glotzer

Castle Rock Entertainment named Liz Glotzer to the new post of president of production, overseeing development and production at the maker of such films as “In the Line of Fire,” “A Few Good Men,” “City Slickers” and the upcoming “North.”

The move is a sign of formerly independent Castle Rock’s desire to boost production now that the production company is owned by Turner Broadcasting System. Glotzer has been with Castle Rock since it was founded in 1987 and most recently was vice president of production. “This sends a signal (that Glotzer) is the person they can look to for answers in terms of development,” Castle Rock President Martin Shafer said. The company plans to boost output to up to seven films in ‘94, possibly to 12 within a few years.
