The following campuses and districts sustained relatively minor damage and will follow regular schedules beginning Monday:

The following campuses sustained significant damage and will modify some services and class schedules in the next week:

* Cal State Northridge

Eleven of the university’s 53 structures are damaged, including the newly refurbished Oviatt Library, a newly built three-story parking structure, the four-building science complex, Sierra Tower and the South Library.

The start of the spring semester has been delayed. Date to be announced. President Blenda Wilson said damage is in the “hundreds of millions of dollars.”

* College of the Canyons

The spring semester was scheduled to begin Monday but due to damage will start Jan. 31. The campus will remain closed until then.

* Santa Monica College

Classes resume Monday. Winter session will now end a week later than normal on Feb. 17. Spring session will begin Feb. 21 instead of Feb. 14.

Damage includes:

* Science Building: Equipment damaged, broken windows, large crack in side of structure, ceiling tiles and light fixtures down. Building will be closed through June.

* Liberal Arts Building: Broken windows, ceiling tiles down, light fixtures down. Building will remain closed until further notice. Officials are hoping to open it by Feb. 21 for spring session.

* Business Building: Water leakage, gas leakage (no explosion), broken glass and downed light fixtures. Most of this building will be reopened Monday; other portions will be closed until the beginning of the spring session. Cosmetology classes held in the building are postponed until further notice.

* Gym: Will indefinitely be used as an American Red Cross shelter.

* Library: As many as 100,000 books were on the floor. Officials plan to reopen library this week.

* Parking structure B at 16th Street and Pico will be closed through June due to cracks in the structure.

Most classes for the winter session will be relocated to satellite campuses at Santa Monica Airport and Madison School at 11th Street and Arizona Avenue. Shuttle buses will be available between the main campus and satellite campuses. Winter session chemistry classes will be held at West Los Angeles College. No damage estimate yet.

* Los Angeles Community College District: Preliminary damage estimate is $5 million.

* Pierce College, Woodland Hills: Structural damage to the men’s and women’s gyms, which may have to be rebuilt; reports of damage to libraries. Estimated damage: $2.5 million. Reopening Monday.

* Mission College, Sylmar: Water leak damaged offices and first-floor classrooms in the administration building; structural damage to county-owned Veterans’ Park Building where music and art are taught. Estimated damage: $500,000. Reopening Monday.

* Valley College, Van Nuys: Men’s gym floor damaged; library shelving damaged; microscopes, telescopes and planetarium projector need to be repaired; planetarium dome needs repair; ceiling and floor repairs needed. Estimated damage: $800,000. Already reopened.

* West Los Angeles College, Culver City: Significant non-structural damage; pedestrian bridge damaged. Cost of repairs estimated at $105,000. Already reopened.

* East Los Angeles College, Monterey Park: Damage estimates at $110,000. Already reopened.

* City College, Los Angeles: Water leak in cinema building; cameras and equipment damaged. Estimated damage: $285,000. Already reopened.

* Trade-Technical College, Los Angeles: Pedestrian bridge separated between culinary arts and business trade buildings. Estimated damage: $475,000. Already reopened.

* Harbor College, Wilmington, and Southwest College, Los Angeles: Estimated damage for both campuses: $50,000. Already reopened.

* Administration Building, 4050 Wilshire Blvd.: Water damage from broken pipes. Estimated cost of repairs: $55,000. Already reopened.
