Tonya Harding approached two unidentified men at a Portland gym about “bumping off” Jeff Gillooly, her husband, during their separation last summer after she suspected him of stealing her truck, the Oregonian newspaper reported Sunday.

The Oregonian quoted neither of the two men directly and provided no separate support for the allegations. Neither Harding nor Gillooly commented on the allegations and calls to their attorneys Sunday by the Associated Press were not returned.

“She was furious,” the Oregonian quoted an unidentified source as saying. “She told two men--some people she worked out with at an eastside gym, some people she barely knew--that she wanted Gillooly taken care of.”

The report comes amid accusations by her onetime bodyguard, Shawn Eckardt, that Harding and Gillooly helped plan and cover up the attack on Nancy Kerrigan in Detroit on Jan. 6.

Harding has denied the accusations and has not been charged with any crime.
