LOS ANGELES : Funds OKd to Clean Freeway Graffiti
The Los Angeles City Council has authorized $90,000 for a graffiti cleanup program along area freeways. The funding was approved when recent budget cuts threatened the program.
The graffiti removal will target 110 underpasses citywide that have been identified as problem areas. A contractor will remove graffiti within 24 hours after it has been discovered and will spray the sites with a protective coating, city officials said.
