Doctor Charged With Taking $53 From Corpse

SAN ANTONIO —
A doctor who performed autopsies at the county morgue has been charged with stealing $53 from a corpse. A grand jury indictment issued Wednesday accused Dr. Thomas Haas, a forensic pathologist, of taking the cash from the body of a drowning victim in November. The doctor quit his job the same month.
