Public Health: Social Worker Joins HIV Panel

Teresa DeCrescenzo of West Hollywood has been picked to serve on the Los Angeles County HIV Health Services Planning Council, a panel that sets program and funding priorities for many HIV services in the county.

DeCrescenzo, a licensed clinical social worker and marriage, family and child counselor, is recognized for her work with gay and lesbian youths. She is in private practice, lectures in the Graduate School of Social Work at California State University, Long Beach, and oversees a residential treatment program for high-risk youths.

She was appointed to the Planning Council post by Supervisor Ed Edelman, who helped establish the 42-member council.
