Nation IN BRIEF : WASHINGTON, D.C. : Remains Returned by N. Korea Identified

The Pentagon announced the first positive identification of American remains returned from North Korea since the end of the Korean War 41 years ago. The remains of a U.S. Army soldier returned by the North Korean army on Nov. 30 have been identified as those of Sgt. Frank M. Morales, who was reported missing in November, 1950, the Pentagon said. Morales was born in 1913, and his home of record was in Puerto Rico, the Pentagon said.
