Ram receivers coach Milt Jackson has signed a three-year contract to be the receivers coach for the Atlanta Falcons.

Jackson, whose contract with the Rams expires this month, becomes the sixth assistant coach to join new Coach June Jones’ staff.

Jackson becomes the second member of Ram Coach Chuck Knox’s staff to leave. Quarterbacks coach Ted Tollner left after the season to become San Diego State’s head coach.

The move reunites Jackson and Jones, who were assistant coaches on Jerry Glanville’s staff in Houston for two seasons in the late 1980s. Jackson also was the receivers’ coach at Indianapolis in 1989, when Atlanta wide receiver Andre Rison was in his rookie season with the Colts.
