Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Woman Killed in Accident; Infant Injured
A young Lancaster woman was killed and a 4-month old infant injured Thursday when the woman’s car slammed into the back of semi-trailer truck that slowed to make a right turn into a construction site, authorities said.
Michelle Snyder, 21, was traveling north on Sierra Highway near Avenue O in Palmdale when the accident occurred about 9 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Gil Arce said.
Snyder died a short time later at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center, where the infant, who was not her child, was listed in good condition, Arce said.
The truck driver was not cited, Arce said.
