Man Held in Fatal 1993 Shooting
Ventura police have arrested a suspect in the slaying of a Ventura man who was shot and killed last year outside his apartment building.
Police arrested Garabet Majoubian, 45, of Canoga Park on Friday in the Dec. 20 shooting of Erasmo Moro, 48, an Italian national. Moro’s body was found in the carport area of the Scandia Apartments in east Ventura after police and firefighters answered reports of gunshots. Moro had been working at a pizza shop in Ventura.
Based on a tip from a woman who knew both men, Ventura detectives focused their investigation on Majoubian soon after the shooting, according to a police report. It could not be immediately determined where detectives picked up Majoubian on Friday, although he was arrested without incident, according to the report.
