State Home Sales Forecast Revised Upward: Reversing their earlier projections, economists at the California Assn. of Realtors said the figure should climb 2.4% this year but that the price of a typical home should ease 2.5% to $184,150. In its initial forecast in September, the group said sales would probably drop 2.4% in 1994 and that prices would fall a steeper 3.1%. The upward revision was based on stronger-than-expected recent sales trends and an improving economy in both California and the rest of the United States, the association said. Sales in the state rose 2.2% in 1993 from 1992, it said, but the median price of a home fell 4.3% to $188,870.
