A jury deliberated less than four hours Wednesday before acquitting an actor of raping a 16-year-old extra last summer on the set of “Sister Act II.”

The jury also found Ron Johnson, 21, not guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman, who came forward after seeing news accounts of the extra’s accusations. She accused Johnson of raping her in 1992 after she met him at a house party.

Johnson, who had a role in the movie “Zebrahead” and who got into acting after winning a call-in rap contest on a local radio station, played a student in “Sister Act II.”

The unpaid extra was one of hundreds who were in a school auditorium scene. At his his trial, Johnson conceded that he had had sex with the extra, but he maintained that it was consensual.

He had never met the other woman, he said, although he acknowledged being at the party she described with his girlfriend and performing raps there.
