OXNARD : Man Ordered to Face Trial in Stabbing
A Municipal Court judge on Wednesday ordered an Oxnard man to stand trial on murder charges related to the Christmas Day stabbing of his ex-girlfriend’s son.
Jose Socorro Jimenez, 32, will be arraigned in Superior Court on Feb. 23, said Senior Deputy Dist. Atty. Peter D. Kossoris.
He is accused of stabbing 21-year-old Isaias Guerrero after showing up at the home of the victim on Campbell Way in Oxnard about 3 a.m. Dec. 25.
Before the stabbing, the victim had tried to escort Jimenez off the family’s property, witnesses said. Jimenez had come to the house and smashed his hand against a living-room window.
He yelled that the victim’s mother, 36-year-old Garciela Guerrero, was going to pay for breaking off their three-year relationship.
