Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Transit System Reduces Schedule on Holiday
- Share via
LANCASTER — The Antelope Valley’s public transit system will operate on a reduced holiday schedule Monday.
The Antelope Valley Transit Authority will run just four commuter buses, rather than the usual nine, to Downtown Los Angeles, and just three of the typical five buses will transport people to and from the San Fernando Valley.
Also on Monday, which is Presidents’ Day, the local fixed-route service will run on a reduced schedule. The Dial-a-Ride service, which offers door-to-door transportation to seniors and the disabled, will operate at normal hours.
AVTA commuter buses, effective Monday, will also stop picking up passengers at the Target center in Palmdale. The buses will continue to stop at the Lancaster park-and-ride at 10th Street West and Avenue K-8 and the Palmdale park-and-ride at Avenue S and the Antelope Valley Freeway.
