San Francisco 108, Loyola Marymount 103--Loyola Marymount’s first sign of trouble came in the opening minutes when starting forward Rahim Harris was knocked to the court and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
Two hours later, San Francisco completed the mugging with a victory at Gersten Pavilion.
It was the third consecutive loss for Loyola (5-18, 4-8), which was hurt by foul trouble and San Francisco’s 57% shooting.
San Francisco (15-8, 7-5) is alone in second place in the WCC.
Wyking Jones led Loyola with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Harris suffered a sprained neck.
