3 Killed in Crash of Cargo Helicopter
Associated Press
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. —
A cargo helicopter returning from a lifting job flipped out of control and slammed into a soggy suburban hillside Monday, killing all three people aboard.
The victims were employees of San Jose-based Air One Helicopters, which owned the twin-engine Sikorsky S-58T helicopter. One victim had escaped injury last month when an identical Air One helicopter crashed into a San Jose rooftop, killing the pilot.
The victims’ names were being withheld pending notification of their families.
