MID-CITY AREA : Redevelopment Plan to Undergo Review
Portions of a draft redevelopment plan for Wilshire Center and Koreatown will be reviewed by a Community Redevelopment Agency citizens panel at 1 p.m. Thursday at Southwestern University School of Law, 675 S. Westmoreland Ave. The public is invited.
The redevelopment agency’s staff will tell the Community Advisory Committee about the potential redevelopment and revitalization options in Wilshire Center and Koreatown, an area bounded by 6th Street on the north, 12th Street on the south and Hoover Street on the east and Western Avenue on the west. The area also includes the Vermont Avenue corridor to the Hollywood Freeway and Western Avenue to Melrose Avenue.
The meeting will include an update on the environmental review process and the results of a preliminary field survey of the area.
