Police are planning a door-to-door search today to investigate two incidents during the past week in which moving cars were the targets of gunfire in the 8600 block of Moody Street. One person was injured in the attacks.

Both incidents took place at 5 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Moody just south of Crescent Avenue, Cypress Police Lt. John Schaefer said.

A 55-year-old man driving northbound on Moody on Friday was wounded when a bullet passed through the driver’s side door of his vehicle and struck him in the thigh, police said. He was taken to Los Alamitos General Hospital for treatment.
