Fillmore students in the seventh through ninth grades will be able to participate in a daylong conference to help them plan for the future and improve relationships with their peers.
The Fillmore Unified School District is sponsoring the first Community of Fillmore Student Leadership Conference on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fillmore Junior High School. Admission is free.
In addition to giving students tips for planning for the future and getting along with their classmates, the conference will include activities aimed at building leadership skills.
