SHERMAN OAKS : Yaroslavsky to Talk on Quake Damage
Los Angeles City Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky is scheduled to answer residents’ questions about earthquake damage at a Sherman Oaks Homeowners Assn. meeting today.
The condition of the area’s ground soil and rebuilding will be among the topics discussed, said Richard Close, association president.
“Yaroslavsky has tried to cut through the red tape to make it easy for people to rebuild,” Close said. “But we are concerned with whether it is safe to rebuild in all areas of Sherman Oaks. We want to know if we have soil problems.”
The 8 p.m. meeting will be at Union Federal Savings, 13300 Ventura Blvd.
