Appoint Technologies Inc.: The Anaheim electronic-components manufacturer reported a profit of $1.3 million, or 9 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter, which included a one-time gain of $1.7 million from discontinued operations. For the like period a year ago, a profit of $7,626, or less than 1 cent a share, was recorded. Sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31 rose from $151,515 to $689,269. The 1994 figures included revenue of $475,140 and an operating loss of about $281,000 from an acquisition in November, 1993.
