BURBANK : 4 Men Expected to Be Charged in Shooting
A jilted lover is among four men expected to be charged today in connection with the shooting of a Los Angeles man earlier this week, authorities said Thursday.
Arrested within hours of the 4 p.m. Wednesday shooting were Robert Young, 27, and Marcelo Flores, 26, both of Burbank; John Matthews Jr., 30, of Northridge, and Malcolm Alarca, 22, of Sunland.
The 27-year-old victim is in fair condition. Police did not identify the victim.
Police said the dispute centered on an unnamed woman who stopped dating Young in order to date the victim.
The victim was shot several times at close range as he entered his car parked in the 3200 block of San Fernando Boulevard, authorities said. No words were exchanged in the incident and police refused to name the triggerman. The weapon used in the shooting has not been recovered.
