Showers Could Persist Into Sunday

The light showers that began Friday night may continue over Orange County, off and on, throughout today and possibly into Sunday, according to WeatherData, which provides forecasts for The Times.

Precipitation could reach one to two-tenths of an inch, said meteorologist Bruce Thoren.

“It’s not really a major storm system,” Thoren said, but winds could occasionally gust to 15-20 m.p.h.

The low-pressure system shows signs it will progressively move eastward over the next 12 to 24 hours, producing variable cloudiness.

Highs today should get into the mid 60s to low 70s, with nighttime lows in the low to mid 50s.
