I find it interesting that the Kings can make it to the Stanley Cup finals one year and then stink up the league the next. I also find it interesting that they can continue to get sellout crowds at the Forum, although many patrons are more interested in the “Who’s Who” cocktail party that clogs up the lobby between periods.

But the thing I find most interesting is that the Kings’ demise happens with Bruce McNall wanting a state-of-the-art arena.

Well, Mr. McNall can take his out-of-date arena, high-priced talent and his season tickets and, well, he’s a bright guy, he’ll know what to do.

I am off to Dodger Stadium where I can still watch Darryl Strawberry drop easy pop-ups and strand guys on third for about six bucks.
