SIMI VALLEY : Molestation Suspect Arrested by Police
A Simi Valley man with a history of convictions for violent crimes was arrested at his home Tuesday after police raided the residence and found him in bed with a 13-year-old girl.
Simi Valley police arrested Henry Diaz on suspicion of child molesting and possessing a small amount of marijuana, which police said they found in the home.
Members of the police SWAT team and narcotics detectives raided the home in the 1700 block of Sitka Avenue about 7 a.m. after Diaz’s parole officer reported possible violations. People were also concerned about his violent history.
Police found Diaz in bed with the girl, Lt. Dick Thomas said. The girl was being interviewed by detectives late Tuesday, and Thomas said he did not know the circumstances of her involvement with Diaz, who is being held on parole violations in County Jail.
Thomas said Diaz, 40, has a prison record for narcotics violations and armed robberies.
