54 HOURS : Soccer Fun-Sites

Share

With World Cup soccer coming to Southern California, many people will undoubtedly feel inspired to lace up a pair of cleats and find the nearest patch of grass that resembles a soccer field. For those eager to hone their soccer skills, Legacy Tour ‘94--which is making the rounds to the nine World Cup venues across the country--will be in Los Angeles the first three weekends in April. Legacy Tour ’94 “Soccer Fun-Site” events--for all ages and skill levels--offer contests such as passing, speed dribbling and penalty kicks; soccer clinics that feature professional and amateur players, and entertainment. The four locations this weekend: Hart High School, Newhall; Yorba Regional Park, Anaheim Hills; AYSO Soccer Complex, Riverside; and Ferraro Athletic Field, Los Angeles (next to L.A. Zoo). The events from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., are free. For future sites, call: (800) 386-4694.
