COLLEGE ROUNDUP : SCC Softball Team Takes Two From Biola

Shannon Saylor and Celeste Gordon combined on a no-hitter as Southern California College beat Biola, 8-0, in the first game of nonconference softball doubleheader.

Saylor (14-3) had seven strikeouts in five innings for Southern California (28-6), which won the second game, 9-5.

In both games: Amy Lewis had three hits with four runs batted in and a run scored, Tracy Scofield had four hits, three RBIs and one run scored, Angie Vega had four hits and two RBIs and Shannon O’Rourke had four hits with three runs scored.

Biola is 2-19, 2-14.

In nonconference men’s tennis:

Southern California College 7, Whittier 2--Ross Andel and Matthew Scott each won their singles match, 6-1, 6-2, in the Vanguards’ victory. Southern California is 8-13.
