Two Pacific Palisades residents have been elected to the board of directors of Big Sisters of Los Angeles.
Joining the board are Howard Mangen, owner and operator of several Popeye’s Famous Fried Chicken restaurants in Los Angeles, and Karin Rinella, a real estate agent with the Jon Douglas Co. in Brentwood.
Big Sisters helps disadvantaged girls ages 6 to 18 by pairing them with female volunteers, who guide the youths by building relationships with them.
