La Habra Molestation Suspect Returned to U.S.
A man sought for more than 12 years on suspicion of molesting children in his La Habra home has been returned in custody from South Africa and is scheduled to be arraigned today, police said.
Stanley H. Jenson is being held in La Habra City Jail on a no-bail warrant, after arriving in the custody of U.S. marshals Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport, Lt. Wayne Lowry said.
In an arrest warrant, Jenson is charged with 21 counts of sexual misconduct on a minor, and two marijuana violations.
Lowry said that La Habra investigators recently learned that Jenson was living in Australia under an assumed name and that he planned to travel to Germany, via South Africa and England.
As a result of a cooperative effort among the U.S. State Department, the FBI, U.S. marshal’s office and the Orange County district attorney’s office, local authorities arrested Jenson when he arrived in South Africa and held him until U.S. marshals could return him to the United States.
Jenson is scheduled to be arraigned in Municipal Court in Fullerton today, police said.
