Wiz Technology Inc.: The software maker said Wednesday that it has settled a lawsuit it had filed against a competitor alleging unfair competition and plagiarism, and has collected $250,000 in damages.

The payment, made Monday, ends the federal litigation that the San Clemente company had filed against Software Concepts Inc. and James Crabtree, both in Chandler, Ariz., over the use of Wiz’s “$5 Computer Software Store” and related issues.
