Off-Track Enterprise: Four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser won’t be spending much time in Long Beach watching the Indy-car races this weekend--he’ll be at the grand opening of the Al Unser Auto Care Center on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday.
Unser has joined with financial partner Robert Smith to launch what they hope will become a chain of Unser centers. The inaugural location here is a 40,000-square-foot facility subdivided into quick-lube, brake, muffler, smog inspection and wheel alignment shops plus repair centers for domestic, Japanese and European cars.
