Countywide : Quake Preparedness Classes to Be Offered

Share

As part of Earthquake Preparedness Month, the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross is offering free classes titled “Living on the Fault Line.”

Many of the free classes, designed to help reduce the risk of death or injury, property loss and emotional trauma, will be at branches of the Orange County Public Library. Classes will be offered in English, Spanish and Chinese.

The 90-minute classes will deal with such issues as what to pack in an earthquake survival kit, what can be expected in the hours and days following a major quake and what utilities and other services might not be available after a quake.
