Share

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation Clinic will honor Los Angeles County Supervisor Ed Edelman at a ribbon-cutting ceremony next Thursday for his years of service to people with AIDS and HIV, the virus that causes the disease.

Edelman will retire from his term on the County Board of Supervisors at the end of the year. During his tenure, he helped establish a ward at County-USC Medical Center for people with HIV. He was instrumental in founding the Chris Brownlie Hospice in Elysian Park.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the clinic, which is housed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Towers, 8635 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles.
