Comedian Garrett Morris was back in the hospital Tuesday after a 3-week-old gunshot wound apparently became infected, his publicist said.

Morris walked into Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital on Monday night complaining of pain in his back, publicist Rita Tateel said Tuesday.

“There have been some complications and we don’t know what kind of procedure will be done,” she said. “There is some speculation that he has had some inflammation and infection in the area where the bullet was.”

Morris was wounded once in the chest and once in the arm during a botched holdup in South-Central Los Angeles. He told the two robbers he had no money.

The 57-year-old actor was a member of the original cast of “Saturday Night Live” in the 1970s, and plays Stan in the current TV comedy “Martin.”
