Share

Work crews today will begin the city’s annual concrete repair and replacement project.

Lake Forest-based Lambaren Contractors Corp. was recently awarded the $106,000 job and will repair damaged sidewalks, curbs, gutters and driveways in the public right of way, starting at the north end of the city, said Dennis Jue, a city spokesman.

Jue said the job will be broken into four phases, starting with the area north of Crown Valley Parkway. On April 27, the crews will start the central portion of the city north of Selva Road.

Work on the Lantern and Doheny village areas will begin about May 9, and crews will move to Capistrano Beach on June 1.

About $50,000 of the project’s cost has been funded by federal community development money, with the remainder coming from the city’s general fund, Jue said.
