FOUNTAIN VALLEY : Free Screenings Offered at Health Fair
A community health fair featuring medical screenings and exhibits is scheduled today at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center.
The free community event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is part of an effort by the hospital to promote preventive health care.
Free screenings for blood pressure, scoliosis, hernia, arthritis, cancer, vision and podiatry will be among those offered.
Exhibits include booths on women’s health and nutrition.
A complete blood panel, which includes cholesterol, thyroid and kidney screening, will be available for $25.
Prostate tests for cancer also will be available for $25.
A live country band and Western line dancing lessons will be offered. Fountain Valley fire and police personnel and their vehicles and equipment also be on hand.
The event will take place under a tent in the hospital parking lot at 17100 Euclid St.
