INTERFAITH & EARTH: Hindu, Native American and Christian views of environmental concerns will be presented May 1 at a panel discussion in Northridge.

Dinesh Lakhanpal, founder of the Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of Chatsworth, will appear on the panel with Leonore Jewett, a Chippewa Indian; the Rev. Jim George of The Master’s Seminary and Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, and the Rev. Gary Dickey, pastor of Canoga Park First United Methodist Church.

The discussion, part of a series sponsored by the San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council, will be held 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Northridge, 9650 Reseda Blvd. There is no charge.

The Rev. Jeff Utter of Chatsworth Congregational Church will moderate the discussion.

HEALING SERVICE: A model healing service will be conducted by a pastor-nurse team from San Fernando on April 30 during a regional meeting in Granada Hills of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America clergy and lay leaders.

The Rev. Mark Kubly-Dunbar and Parish Nurse Sue Wilson, both of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in San Fernando, will conduct the service during the Tri-Valley Conference spring assembly, which starts at 9 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 12227 Balboa Blvd.

The Rev. Philip L. Natwick, who retired in September as pastor of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Granada Hills, will speak on “The Church as a Place of Healing.”

HEALTH CARE: A special training session for people willing to lead study groups at religious congregations on health care plans before Congress will be held April 30 at the Episcopal Church of St. Andrew & St. Charles, 16651 Rinaldi St., Granada Hills.

Scott D. Anderson, associate director of the Sacramento-based California Council of Churches, will lead the three-hour session, which starts at 2 p.m.

MUSICAL PLAY: The last two performances of “Man of La Mancha,” a musical play by Dale Wasserman, will be presented at 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday at Adat Ari El Synagogue, 12020 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood.

The 23rd annual production directed by Senior Rabbi Moshe J. Rothblum draws on the talents of the synagogue’s youth department. Tickets are available at the door for $10. For information, call (818) 766-9677.

CLASSICAL MUSIC: Performances of works by John Rutter and Claude Debussy will be featured at an afternoon concert Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church, 1211 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale.

The church’s choir and orchestra will perform Rutter’s “Requiem.” Works by Debussy will be presented by the Debussy Trio, an ensemble of harp, flute and viola.
